My name is Jessi Attenborough. A 90's baby, and traveler at heart. I am a Projector (HD) with many creative passions.
I move and center through Yoga and Ashtanga and breath-work.
A master certified breath-work facilitator from SOMA.
In 2020 breath-work entered my life. I had tried meditation before, but I regularly faced the well known chatter of ones mind. This experience however, lead me right into a meditative state. Just through breathing. With that state I also felt a wave of belonging, love and ecstasy. It was safe to say; I was hooked and so I signed up for a 21 day breath-work journey. Little did I know how much this was going to teach me about myself and life.
The breath can be a metaphor for a great deal of things in life.
For instance that every moment is unique in its own way. As is every breath-work experience. And that every phase in your life has different needs or different breathing rhythms.
A severe ill family member, change of homes, Corona and work life influenced my practice, but I would notice myself coming back to the practice. Guiding myself through a single session, or at times integrating it in my morning practice.
Coming back to the breath. Finding grounding, grace, energy and a zest for life.
In the fall of 2021 I found myself on a crossroads of life. Being forced into a position, where I had to make a decision that I did not want to make. A decision that would, either way, greatly affect my life from there on wards. Making this choice was an in depth proces and it lead me to rethink the path I was on. To reevaluate those things that where on my vision board for ages. Breath-work being one of those things. So I turned back to one of the questions that has greatly helped me before:
What do I want in life? & In ten years, what will I regret not doing?
The choice made, I wanted to take charge and shape life in a way that felt true to me. Doing those things I want, instead of having regrets later in life. Choosing the word " uncomfortable and accession' for 2023. That when faced with those daily choices, these words would guide me. For me this meant getting back to that breath-work practice. Showing up every day. And from there on, choosing to ask my employer for a study-leave, choosing to invest in a solid training with SOMA. Choosing to say:
' YES,' Whenever I was given a chance, to rise above myself.
During the certification-process and thereafter. Choosing to say ' Yes' when being asked to lead on a world wide streaming. Being 'uncomfortable', in putting myself and new opportunities out there. And now I am here, wanting to share the power of breath with you. The breath which moves us through life, through choices and through emotions. Into health, into power (physically&mentally), and into connection.
Into a space where I feel calm and rested, happy and exited about life,
This journey has shown me I looked to others. So much. To help me, to heal me, to guide me. Breath-work has taught me I have everything; right here and now to heal and strengthen myself. Mentally and physically. I am not here to heal you. I would, lóve to guide you along that path. To give you the knowledge, experience and framework to explore yourself.
To move into the life you desire.
